Other than operating, I love to teach and have trained many a surgeons in basic and advanced laparoscopic surgeries. I have been fortunate to share my experiences and laparoscopic skills with surgeons from other countries too.
I love music, and by God’s grace, I can play almost all musical instruments, like the saxophone, flute, harmonica, the piano, drums, guitar etc. I am a fitness freak. I have been weight training for the last 25 years and have been practicing an Israeli form of self defence called ‘Krav Maga’.
We run a very special support group Peters' Lounge where all our operated patients meet and share their personal experiences. This group provides and an excellent opportunity to discuss their various health related issues with our team and Dr Peters' himself.
A one of its' kind in India, informal group where we share , care and have lots of fun not just discuss problems and talk medicines , done regularly to welcome the new members of our Bariatric family.
This group also gives an opportunity to the new patients to talk to , and share their apprehensions with the previously operated patients.
Like the name suggests we support you at each step in the significant transformation , emotional and social changes that are often associated with weight loss. We hand hold you through this entire journey !
A lifetime of healthy achievement and living is what we foresee for each one of you and our support group is open to all of you who have already had the surgery done and those who are still considering it , your family members and friends are also welcome to join in.
Support group works together holding hands to help each other on the journey that weight loss takes us.
Our Support group is not only facilitated by Dr Atul Peters himself but also by our registered certified dietitian. It’s an open forum where one can seek to find answers to questions and concerns around weight loss surgery and resolution of diabetes and meet each other to support and successfully overcome their condition and take charge of their health.
